2014 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration: Play Time & Party Time #DisneySMMoms

After the formalities of day 1 and day 2 of Disney Social Media Moms, it was time to start winding down.

Saturday morning the attendees enjoyed some announcements and breakfast in one room, while our families chowed down in another. The announcement? Disney’s “Get a Book, Give a Book” program. When you enter a code from any specially-marked Disney Junior book or product, your child will get a digital book while a printed book is donated to another child somewhere in the world through the non-profit First Book organization.

My paid conference pass to the event included special programming, park entrance, lodging, and some meals.

We then joined our families for a special reading from a few celebrities. It was like being a kid again listening to LeVar Burton read from the Reading Rainbow iPad app (the reading, not the app).

There was also a performance by Sabrina Carpenter but we thought the program was over and kind of left early. We met back up for a pre-release screening of Disneynature’s Bears. The girls enjoyed it but I was so pooped that I kind of dozed off for the second half of the movie (it had been a long few days).

Some free time allowed us to take some drawing lessons of Olaf and ride a few attractions in Disney California Adventure.

Then it was time to park hop back to Disneyland for dinner.

Why the closed gates to Toon Town? The area was reserved for our own private DSMMoms dinner party! Woot-woot!

A viewing area had again been reserved for us to watch the fireworks but we opted to head back to the room, where we found another gift waiting for us.
