The 2014 Lexus ES 300h is a hybrid luxury sedan with power, functionality, and space. Operation is extremely quiet and all the new features such as Lane Departure Alert, Blind Spot with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Window Defogger with Timer, three drive modes and more make this a sweet ride. The styling is pretty impressive inside and out and will keep its appeal for years.
Putting the Hybrid to Test
Frans and I comfortably took this baby about 600 miles around winding forest roads and to elevations of about 6-7,000 feet. The ES 300h handled it all with ease and we only had to filled the tank half-way one time.
The dash display is clear and makes glancing down for needed information simple. I loved that the navigation screen was set further in as there was no glare on it, obstructing the view. However, we had some issues with the navigation giving wonky estimated times so we made sure to double up on our GPS using our mobile devices just in case.
There’s plenty of room everywhere. The head room, rear leg space, and trunk/cargo area were all more than sufficient for a couple getaway or family day trip (depending on how heavily you pack).
The 2014 Lexus ES 300h is a solid part of the luxury brand’s line. Buyers will be pleased with the performance and options. For a hybrid vehicle of this caliber, the price is pretty much what one would expect, which is definitely a good thing.

Lexus and Toyota both came up on top this year for best ratings for cars. They do make some amazing cars and this one is definitely one of them.
I always thought the ES 300 was small, probably because I drive a truck. But it’s actually a pretty decent size. I need to test drive one.
It’s definitely easy on the eyes, that’s for sure! I definitely need to test drive this beauty!
Okay, that is easy on the eyes! It is more important to be easy on the pocketbook when it comes to filling up the tank, though… so that is good to know that it is. I like that there’s room in the backseat. Our present car has no leg room in the back.
It looks like a nice car, but ouchie on the price tag.
Wow, that is an incredible beauty of a car. I’m not sure if it would be the right fit for our family yet, but I’ll count down the days until college when I can buy one.
Beautiful, but I would expect nothing less from a Lexus. The fact that it’s a hybrid is especially amazing!
