Me want! The 2015 Volvo XC60 is the perfect size for our family of three plus one fur baby. Plus the features and ride are definitely drool-inducing. Suh-weet! Who would have thought we could like a Volvo CUV so much!
2015 Volvo XC60 Review – On the Road
The 2015 Volvo XC60 provides a smooth and quiet ride. Handling is very good and it just feels nice to drive this. Frans did not the steering to be a bit stiff at times and couldn’t seem to find the settings to change this. Seats provide instant comfort and I love there’s power to spare. We didn’t notice any rolling on corners but didn’t get a chance to really test it on a windy road. Visibility is good but gets even better when you push the button to drop the back headrests.
Display on the dash and for the navigation is clear and easy to read. This vehicle also connects to the Volvo app for added functionality. Frans loved that the seat belts automatically adjust to be the right height. I am partial to the mesh cover on the panoramic sunroof as well as the luggage/pet barrier that can be pulled down. A premium Harmon/Kardon sound system is also available.
As Volvo is known for putting safety first, you can easily see in the dash who has their seat belts on and who doesn’t. The XC60 offers Pedestrian/Cyclist Detection with Auto Brake. No matter how safely you drive, it’s always nice to have a backup system to help you avoid any people you don’t see.
2015 Volvo XC60 Review – Keeping Passengers Happy
I absolutely love the wide middle seat for a third adult passenger. We had three adult-sized people in the second row and everyone had plenty of hip space. The other two rear seats have easy to operate built-in boosters. You can finally leave the car seats in the grandparents’ vehicle and not have to keep moving them back and forth.
As for the cargo area – it can fit TONS of stuff!
We were very pleased with the 2015 Volvo XC60. It’s a fantastic day-to-day and road trip vehicle for small to medium families and/or if you have pets. It’s technically a full-size SUV but feels closer to a CUV to me. You can get a smooth ride, luxury features, and functionality rolled in to one slick yet sporty model.
