Yet another reveal was in store for our group when I was in Los Angeles last month. Lincoln had a private engagement planned and we were able to hear about the vehicle directly from Ford Motor Company vice president and president of Lincoln, Kumar Galhotra, and Lincoln design chief, David Woodhouse.
The thoughtfulness that went into the design of the 2017 Lincoln MKZ is surprising, but in a good way. Many journalists felt as if Lincoln listened to and addressed all of the qualms previous pointed out.
Meet the 2017 Lincoln MKZ
The new 2017 Lincoln MKZ is a completely different sedan than the model I test drove just last year (wow, these models progress quickly). The 2017 has a more modern look, a panoramic roof that goes way back, 14- or 20-speaker Revel audio, smart chargers, and tactile controls which replace the sliding bars that looked cool but weren’t as easy to work with.

The 2017 Lincoln MKZ continues to follow the motto of “effortless performance and distinctive design.” One engine option will be a 3.0L 400-horsepower engine, meaning serious power will be humming under that luxurious hood. A 2.0L hybrid model will be available as well.
The grill itself gives the MKZ a whole new look that is both classy and hip. New technology has also been added such as Enhanced Active Park Assist, which will help you get into and out of perpendicular and parallel parking spots, protecting those glistening rims. Though Lincoln is generally associated with an older crowd, I could see some empty nesters in their late-40s being intrigued by this luxury sedan.
