On the north west shore of Lake Tahoe you will find Tahoe City. It’s a cute little spot to just walk around a bit. One of the famous spots is Fanny Bridge.
From here you can see the small picturesque dam and the huge trouts below. On the other side of the dam is a small enclosed area where we saw this guy tossing a huge log in the water below for his dog to fetch it. That was pretty cool. It was very relaxing just strolling around the area down to the public pier, although I think we were on the wrong one. We got some nice pictures until some young couple decided to walk over and start making out, at which point our little family took its leave.
We decided to walk around the area some more and get another look at the fish near the bridge. As a side note, you do need to lean over the side of the bridge to see the trout. I think I have pretty good idea why they named it Fanny Bridge…
