Kings Beach in North Lake Tahoe…
Along the north side of Lake Tahoe you will find Kings Beach. This beach has beautiful, fine brown and black sand. My daughter spend the whole afternoon creating ‘sand balls’.
There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scenery. This is where you can really appreciate the sheer awesomeness of Lake Tahoe with his stunning backdrops and crystal clear water. Though it had snowed only only three days previous to our visit, we had perfect weather with clear skies and temperatures in the high-60s to the low-70s during the day.
There was also a great playground for little kiddies but we had so much fun near the shore that we forgot all about it when we jumped in the car all tired and sandy.
There’s a great pier to walk along and take it all in. While I hung back to take some pictures and watch the girls (our daughter and dog) my husband explored the area and even posed for me.
A local tipped us off that many bring their dogs to play off-leash though it’s kind of an unspoken understanding. We found the easter side was perfect for Speckles to stretch her legs after traveling in the car so much during our trip. She also discovered how much she liked splashing in the lake.
