What could be smaller, cuter, and even more collectable than Squinkies? Squinkies ZINKIES!
This brand new line of miniature toys comes from the oh-so-popular Squinkies that hit the shelves just over a year ago. They are just a fraction of the size, adding to the cuteness factor and giving your child(ren)’s collection a new baby or two for their Squinkies families. My daughter originally had the first two lions as parent and child but now they are both parents with their new baby. So goes the toy ‘circle of life’ I guess…
With the decreased size, a few extras are included with the new playsets – tweezers and a magnifying glass. Not much ‘playing’ that your kids can do with these but they’re still a fun addition.
I love that these sets come with little display items. The little cubbies fit the Zinkies perfectly, though I wish they actually were shaped to fit the ball the Zinkies come in as well. My daughter likes to store them together so we had to find a small bag to hold everything.
The package says 4 and up but that is very much debatable in my opinion. The itty bitty size of the toys and the accompanying plastic balls are practically bite-size. Just looking at them made the ‘mom alarm’ in me go off as a total choking hazard. I would keep these toys out of reach of any child that may even have the tendency to put things (other than food) in their mouth, even if they are older than the stated age of four.
After the original bubble pack series, this is my second favorite line. If you’re a fan of Squinkies or anything cute and tiny, you will love Squinkies Zinkies. They are not as detailed or colorful as their larger counterparts but kids will enjoy playing with them just as much if not more. So far the collection of 100 or so only includes animals and different colors of each. I don’t know if they will add more later but just one or two packages will probably be enough to satisfy their miniature squishy pet collection.

That is super cute! But I totally agree that 4 seems a bit young for these tiny things that do look kind of yummy! Louisa
No kidding – they are the perfect ‘choking’ size. Oh well, I just hope parents are responsible when getting these for smaller children. My 11-year-old is fine but we have to watch out the puppy doesn’t get them.
I know kids would love them, but as a mom those things would make me crazy. Cute though.
We make so many sacrifices for them, don’t we? 😛
