As you coast along Highway 1 through Big Sur, pull over and take the overlook trail below to see this waterfall that drops into the aqua-colored sea. Just make sure you take this trip during the day in clear conditions. It is NOT fun driving along this road at night or when there’s thick fog all along the coast.

Wonderful! The waterfall is not that high and it’s on the coast line. This is my first time to see such magnificent creation.
It’s a really unique site but a bit sad to only look at it from a distance. Based on the GORGEOUS photos we’ve seen, it was a ‘dinky’ IRL π Still pretty though!
How beautiful! Your posts make this southeasterner want to spend more time out west. I’ve only been to Las Vegas (twice), The Grand Canyon, Death Valley, and Denver.
Haha, it is beautiful here. Although, I’d like to try to spend more time east π
Wow! Such a gorgeous spot! I’ve never been to CA so love seeing photos like this, that water looks so pretty and blue!
Driving along the coast is amazing, especially the areas south of the bay starting at Santa Cruz. The colors are amazing with deep blue waters and green trees lining the roadway.
Beautiful! Just beautiful!!!
Thank you. I only wish I could have captured more of the true colors of the water in that cove. It was so wonderful!
Beautiful! This picture just makes me want to kick off my shoes.
I know! I would love to run through it like a kid. I guess that’s why it’s kind of off limits – so it stays beautiful and somewhat untouched.
That looks beautiful! Some day I *will* make it to see CA!
I’m sure your travels will bring you out here at some point in the future π
You live in heaven. Admit it.
Bwahaha – almost but not quite. This place was a good 2-1/2 drive away π
Wow, I need to get my butt out to California because that is just gorgeous.
You put it so eloquently π Definitely come out this way when you can – you’ll love it!
Wow! That is beautiful. I’d love to visit CA again when I have more time. (I was there for BlogHer last year)
Oh, BH was crazy. Hopefully our next trip can be vacay only and with the fam π
That is just breath-taking! If I am ever out that way, I am going to make a point to go see!
There’s much more beauty to be found here. Just let me know when you’re coming and we’ll have to chat about trip ideas!
I love Hwy 1. It’s been years since I’ve driven it, but I think about it all the time. Someday I will go back and drive it again.
When you come back, you’ll have to give me a holler π
Peaceful! I can hear the water…. π Stumbled this π
Thank you! Yes, it was pretty calming if you tuned out the other tourists π
