Many of us, as we see how carefree and cheerful our children are, wish we could relive those childhood days ourselves. It’s tough being a kid though. They have to play hard every day, all day. That can get exhausting!
Every child needs to wind down after their busy activities with a warm, satisfying meal covered with Ragu. This is the idea behind the “Long Days of Childhood” campaign. To capture the memories and feelings of those moments, Ragu has launched a new app. Give ‘Em Ragu is available on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.), on Facebook, and on Android devices. Using your own photos and videos, this new app creates a one-of-a-kind memory compilation.
A few years ago, we took our daughter to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito, CA. It was the first time any of us had visited there and we were shocked by how much there was to do. My daughter never complained about boredom as she painted, climbed, played, and spied. That certainly was one of her ‘long days of childhood’. You can watch our Give ‘Em Ragu video on Facebook or see it below.
Using the app on my iPhone, I could choose pictures or videos stored on my phone or in my Facebook album. I don’t usually keep my photos online or in my phone. So, I opened up iTunes and synced a new photo album with my phone. Just a note – make sure your photos are landscape (horizontal) instead of portrait (vertical). Otherwise a lot of the picture will be cut off. There is also an option to take new photos or videos in the app itself.
Arrange your items, enter a short description, and your personalized Give ‘Em Ragu will be ready to preview, complete with a never-before-heard song. When you’re satisfied, your video can then be sent via Facebook, Twitter, or email. Voila! It’s not anything ground-shaking but quite fun and a nice compilation of a special day.
So hurry and make a video of your own today!
