School is starting soon and with it will come new challenges. Especially as children reach the higher grades, academics become more challenging for both the kids and the parents that struggle to help them.

It’s so much better to help them build skills to study well now and to give them the tools they need to succeed. I know I will be using everything I can to help my daughter (and me) have a productive school year so she enjoys learning and feels confident going onto high school. I don’t know that I’m even prepared yet! But my son is right for this, he’s almost 5 now, and Sylvan has such a good reputation for quality educational material
It’s nice to hear from someone who’s actually used Sylvan. I have always wondered if they were worth using or not.
I totally agree that it’s hard to deal with a child who is easily distracted and doesn’t try to figure things out on their own.
It’s great to get the viewpoint of somebody that has actually used Sylvan. It’s hard to just buy into the hype.
I know exactly what you mean! Our daughter required a lot of ‘nagging’ I mean encouragement 😉 to stay on task with her schooling. Making her write down her own assignments on a calendar and check them off helped us immensely.
Sounds like a neat thing for kids to get into! I have always heard about Sylvan and wondered about what they offer and how good it was!
Our son is very smart, but he is lazy and unorganized. This sounds like something that would really help him.
I thought about Sylvan for my youngest son when he was having trouble in school.
The more I think about it, the more I can see the value in a course like this.
I really need to look into this for my 12 year old who has dyslexia, he could really use the extra help.

Sylvan has been around for a long time. My youngest sister got some tutoring there many years ago.
I wish this was available to all students. What a great idea for our kiddos who need a little help!
Our oldest will enter middle school next year and she could definitely use some study skill preparation. I also want to look into some math assistance for her too.
