These days there are a lot of gluten-free alternatives. However, many of them taste straight-up nasty. I speak from firsthand experience of trying them. Fortunately that’s not the case with some of Foster Farms new gluten-free offerings. The other day I received a HUGE shipment that was loaded with some 50 lbs. of Foster Farms Gluten Free Corn Dogs, Breast Nuggets, and Breast Strips. The hard part was finding space in our tiny freezer to store them all though!
All three varieties are certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group and only contain less than 10ppm of gluten per serving. That means Frans, even though he has Celiac, could eat these without a reaction. The nuggets and strips are 100% all natural and from all white meat (nuggets) and whole breast tenderloins (strips).
Making each of these items is extremely easy as you just pop them in the oven. That’s right – just lay the items on a cookie sheet or pan and follow the printed instructions. Just an extra 5-10 minutes will give the food a nice crispness and make it taste that much better.
Foster Farms Gluten Free Strips, Nuggets, and Corn Dogs
Frans and Munchkin have been loving the Foster Farms Gluten Free Breast Nuggets. For a quick snack or lunch, a handful of these with ketchup or barbecue sauce has made for some happy campers in my house. I can eat a few but the texture of the meat is a bit odd to me.
My favorite of the bunch are the Foster Farms Gluten Free Breast Strips. Naked chicken can get boring fast so the breading makes for a nice way to spice up your meal. So far, we’ve used the Breast Strips in salad, with pasta covered in a pesto alfredo sauce, and dipped in ranch dressing. All were delicious!
As for the corn dogs, well this has to do with personal preference. The taste of the corn batter is good and the texture is right on. However, Frans has never been a fan of amusement park-type food (as he calls it) and I’m allergic to corn. Plus, the hot dog itself is kind of bland and seems uber processed. We could only take the initial tasting and then the rest was distributed among friends.
Over the past few weeks, the Foster Farms Gluten Free Breast Strips and Breast Nuggets have really come in handy. I was glad to see that our local Safeway is already carrying these for when we need to restock. Only California, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona areas offer these right now. The corn dogs are available at several retailers across the country.

My family loves corn dogs. I haven;t seen this yet.
I’m glad there are more and more options for people that are going gluten free.
How nice that they have Gluten free foods that are favorites. I don’t think my son could live without chicken nuggets. Thankfully we do not ahve to purchase gluten free but I know so many people do.
Wow, they sent quite a bit! 🙂
These look great and I love that they are gluten free! 🙂
I love this. I’m not ready to go Gluten Free completely but I’m really ready to be more aware and make a conscious effort to eat more things that are. Great post!!!
Until recently, I thought a corndog was a corndog. That was until I purchased a gigantic box from Costco that the kids all refuse to eat. I think I’ll need to replace it with the Foster Farms variety.
Chicken nuggets are one of the few foods my son loves and eats without begging, pleading, forcing, bribing… you get my drift. 🙂
That is so great that more and more companies are adding gluten-free options to their line ups. It’s good to hear they taste good too because like you, I’ve had some not so great tasting gluten-free items.
I had no idea Foster Farms had a GF line. We definitely love the occasional corn dog, so I will be keeping my eyes open for these items.
