In the automotive world, there are a few major shows at which manufacturers pull out all the stops to reveal the newest models in their lineup. At the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan, Ford held an exciting program complete with large digital displays and lasers to showcase their new cars in the Joe Louis Arena.
I was invited to attend an all-expense media trip courtesy of Ford. All opinions are my own.
Ford F-150 Raptor, Shelby GT350R, & GT at 2015 NAIAS
It was my first experience with such a launch and I have to say the one by Ford was a pretty good one. My tweets even made it to the big screen!
The first vehicle to be highlighted was the new F-150 Raptor.
This was perfect timing as the 2015 aluminum-body F-150 was just given the North American “Truck of the Year” award. The Raptor includes a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and an all-new Terrain Management System (making this one monster of a pick-up in any driving condition).
Next up was the Shelby GT350R Mustang.
This one is all about speed and performance along the track. The kids will have to stay at home since this one has no back seats.
This Ford GT concept car will become reality in 2016.
Attendees were drooling over the sleek lines and roaring engine (60o horsepower EcoBoost = a lot of power). Oh, baby, is this new Ford GT supercar pretty!
Stay tuned for some more info from the 2015 NAIAS.

Wow those are some sleek looking cars!
I’ve always wanted a truck and that is nice! I just have no practical reason to have something that large lol.
Although my oldest brother has worked at Toyota for YEARS, he has always had a soft spot for Ford trucks. I’m sure he’d be all over that one!
My husband is a huge Shelby fan and we have a factory of his (although he is deceased) here in Las Vegas. I know my honey would love this new Mustang!
