My family is no stranger to the stresses of job hunting. Way back in 2000, when the dot com bubble burst, Frans lost his job and it was tough finding work after that. We’ve dealt with unemployment on and off ever since and it is not fun. This last stretch lasted almost a year. Frans spent all day everyday searching for jobs, filling out applications, updating his resume, and going for interviews. Fortunately he was able to find something but we still have many, many friends dealing with similar issues here.
Help Finding a Job w/ Hired.com
I recently learned about something that might make the whole process of searching for work a it easier. It’s called Hired.com and it connects companies and talent from across the country. Instead of your resume going to the bottom of yet another stack of applications or getting random calls from recruiters that have less information about jobs than you, companies actually go out of their way to give you offers. If you’re more of a visual person, this graphic might help illustrate the process better.
