While my family and I were in Europe, we walked non-stop, every single day, for three weeks straight. Now that we’ve been home our activity levels have dropped to almost zero. Well, that has got to stop! I have a growing teen on my hands and want her to learn good habits of being active now instead of struggling to ingrain them later. Monday we played in the pool (yes, played as we were trying to not roll over on this inflatable dog we bought in the Netherlands) and we plan to head to the gym tomorrow or Friday. I just hope she doesn’t break the equipment like she usually does.
There are several gyms and sport clubs in the area. One of which is called Crunch. Aside from the name and logo, I didn’t really know much about it. In fact, I just assumed that it was a manly-man muscle gym. How surprised I was to find out that it’s a full-service health club with a focus on unique and exciting classes that make fitness fun!
Crunch Fitness Classes
Here are just a few of the Crunch fitness classes that I am psyched to try out. Believe me, there are HUNDREDS more that not only look like tons of fun but would also be a seriously good workout.
- AMPED W/ DISQ
Strap on, step in and get ready to groove in this hip-hop inspired class using the DISQ. This class will get you AMPED to work the dance floor while the DISQ adds resistance for a total body workout! - SURFSET® & SAND
We’ve teamed up with SurfSET® to get you ready to hit waves in this circuit style class using weighted sandbags and the RipSurfer X®, the world’s first total body surf trainer designed to mimic real surfing, just without the ocean. The exercises – half on the board and half off the board – are inspired by the dynamic movements of surfing and are designed to sculpt a lean surfer physique. - JILLIAN MICHAELS BODYSHRED™
America’s Toughest Trainer brings you her revolutionary workout. Offered exclusively at Crunch, this Metabolic Conditioning class can rev your metabolism and will have you burning fat and extra calories for days. Define muscles and condition for peak performance using Jillian’s 3-2-1 interval/circuit training approach – 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio and 1 minute of abs, all packed into an intense 30-minute workout.
In addition to all of those fabulous classes, Crunch fitness locations include top-of-the-line cardio equipment and strength training machines, as well as certified personal trainers. However, it’s really in the classes that the brand takes pride.

From now until July 31, 2015 new members can get 10 days for $10 at all San Francisco locations. This will give you access to all of the Downtown San Francisco locations including all of their facilities and classes. Yerba Buena even has a lap pool and steam room! If you have little ones, you’ll have to arrange for childcare ahead of time as these particular locations do not provide any. However, families in Daly City and Danville do have the option of purchasing a membership that includes childcare!

Will you taking advantage of the 10 days for $10 deal?
I was compensated to share this promotion with my readers, which I think is pretty awesome. All opinions are my own.
