The 2015 Lexus ES 350 is a roomy and comfortable sedan that offers a quiet and comfortable ride. The exterior design has classic and refined lines but includes many of the modern technologies which provide convenience and safety. While driving, there was almost no outside noise heard so that’s a definitely plus. It has plenty of power with a 3.5-L V6 engine so you can take inclines with ease and pass others without a second thought. I could definitely see my mom in this!
2015 Lexus ES 350 – Smooth and Quiet Ride
The suspension and handling is a bit light for easier handling. You can adjust the driving mode between Eco, Normal, and Sport but I found even Sport to be on the looser side. So, while I wouldn’t recommend taking those tight hairpin curves at high speeds, you can definitely take a long, leisurely ride in this for lengthy commutes or relaxing road trips.
Controls are easy to see and operate. Aside from a small bit in the dash and the navigation display, most of the control are traditional lights, knobs, and buttons. Sometimes going back to the non-digital controls is refreshing as it makes operation so much simpler at times. The screen resolution for the backup camera is very clear. The parking sensors were a bit sensitive and would go off all of the time when we were pulling into a space. This is would so not work in Europe with the narrow lanes and tight parking spots. For those that aren’t to sharp in their parking skills, this would be great though.
2015 Lexus ES 350 – Accessibility and Interior Space
The doors open wide and the vehicle is a good height so it’s quite easy to get in and out of the car. Seats in the front are roomy and there’s plenty of leg space in the back.
The trunk is HUGE. As it is both tall and deep, we were able to fit two large suitcases and three small ones in there when we came back from the Netherlands. We were shocked! The space is obstructed by a randomly hanging first aid kit and the trunk arms that come down but there’s plenty of space to work with.
From the line of cars from Lexus, the ES caters to a more laid-back crowd that favors luxury and a smooth ride over sporty, aggressive driving. I think the 2015 Lexus ES 350 fits that to a tee and does it well.
