Kids grow so fast. It seems like only yesterday that I was carrying Munchkin in a my Bjorn and now she’s taller than me. She continues to grow out of her clothes like crazy. Actually, she is now so close in size that it’s not uncommon to find her wearing some piece of my clothing. We seriously need to do some shopping. The only problem with that is that neither of us like shopping and we have no idea about current trends. Fortunately, Macy’s has all of us fashion-challenged parents and teens covered. Several of their stores are having a huge Back to School Shopping Party and I was asked to invite all of you!
Back to School Fashion Trends for Teens w/ Lindsey Hughes
The event in San Francisco will be this Saturday, August 15th, at the Macy’s store in Union Square. Those in attendance will enjoy treats, a DJ, mini manis, and a photobooth. Plus, the celebrity vlogger Lindsey Hughes will be there to share her favorite styles this season. As if that wasn’t enough, any $35 purchase in mstylelab (the juniors section) will score your teen a free Lindsey Hughes signature tote bag!
I’m personally looking forward to seeing what types of outfits and accessories she’ll recommend as an “in the know” fashionista. It will help my daughter get some ideas in forming her own looks for this new school year. Since I will actually be out of town that day, I’ll have to follow Macy’s closely on Twitter for all of the style-filled tweets. I can’t wait. If you’re able to head to the city to attend, you have to share with me which outfits ended up being your or your teen’s favorites!
