The SF Bay Area had a nice treat this week! Roger Craig, the now retired 49ers player, visited the Lucky superstore in San Bruno, CA on Monday for an informal meet and greet with local fans. He signed autographs and posed for some keepsake photos.

The line outside the store was full for the entire two-hour period he was there. This photo was taken about 1-1/2 hour after the event started.
A select number of bloggers were invited to join in on the fun and I was one of them! I was running late so I missed out on the group photo. I didn’t miss out on meeting Roger Craig though.
He was so sweet. After I told him that I was one of the bloggers for the event, he said, “We have to get you a photo then! The other ones took a photo so we need to do one for you too!” How awesome it was to find such a high profile person be so incredibly down to earth and so personable!
Mr. Craig was invited to meet the community thanks to P&G products and Lucky Supermarkets. Lucky customers were invited to show their receipt to pick up their own mini pink football (in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness) to be signed. One boy, about 11 years old, was anxiously looking for someone to show his receipt to so he could get his football 🙂 Of course, Roger Craig was quite accommodating and signed other paraphernalia. He even signed a stadium seat of one super fan!
For those that purchased $30 of participating P&G products such as Tide, Bounty, Crest, Always, Head & Shoulders, and Cascade were also eligible to receive a $10 Visa gift card by mail. A prize wheel gave customers the chance to spin for some samples before heading home.
