Ah, I love strawberry season! The overflow of super ripe fruity goodness tastes amazing alone or in classic desserts crafted with love. Speaking of strawberry-centered desserts, National Strawberry Shortcake Day is coming up on June 14, 2016 and Macy’s is celebrating the event in a big way.
Strawberry Shortcake Day at Macy’s on June 14, 2016
Macy’s locations across the country will be hosting special cooking demonstrations with celebrity chefs as they share tips on making delectable dessert recipes and offer samples of their own creations. Tickets for the cooking demonstration are free. The rest of the store is decked out for the American Icons style event so feel free to browse the clothing selection before or after the Strawberry Shortcake Day demo.
Details for the event in San Francisco are below. I hope you can make it since I’ll be there and would love to see you! Oh, make sure you get there early too since the first 50 customers get a special gift. 🙂

Strawberry Shortcake Day Recipe From Macy’s Culinary Council
The event is coming up next week but my mouth is already watering for some juicy strawberries! To hold us over until then, here’s a “sweet” Strawberry Shortcakes with Slow-Roasted Strawberries & Vanilla Creme Chantilly recipe from Johnny Iuzzini, Macy’s Culinary Council expert and award-winning pastry chef. I really need to see if I can make this gluten-free so my husband can try it too.
Summertime with strawberries is definitely worth celebrating. So, don’t miss out on the special Strawberry Shortcake Day events at a Macy’s near you! Check macys.com/events to see which other locations are participating. Keep in mind that some events require an RSVP (the San Francisco one doesn’t though) so you might want to hurry and grab your spot just in case.
This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of Macy’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
