Tuesday night was full of excitement as I walked down the red carpet at the Big Hero 6 premiere in Hollywood, California. The area was decorated with bright lights, the San Fransokyo Bridge with Hiro and Baymax flying overhead, signs, and a huge inflatable Baymax atop El Capitan Theatre.
Big Hero 6 Premiere in Hollywood, CA
Several celebrities were in attendance but it was hard to pay attention to that while busy taking photos to memorialize the event. Imagine all 25 of the bloggers in our group doing this every two seconds as we shuffled down the carpet. 🙂
Famous Faces on the Red Carpet
Well, we did see some celebrities. The kids starring on black-ish stopped for a quick snapshot with us. We interviewed them the day before so they recognized us and were happy to oblige. Stay tuned as that interview will be coming up soon!
Several of the voice cast was also in attendance. I only caught a glimpse of a few of them but here’s an official shot of Scott Adsit, Ryan Potter, Daniel Henney, T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Genesis Rodriguez, Damon Wayans Jr., and Maya Rudolph at the premiere.
And here’s the not-really-official shot of us our #BigHero6Event group in the same spot!
The movie itself is fantastic. This was actually my second time seeing the film and I was a sobbing mess during the whole thing. I loved 3D laser introduction for the premiere though and wish I could have shared it with you somehow.
Big Hero 6 Premiere After Party
But what kind of big premiere would it be without a hoppin’ party?! Yamashiro Hollywood was a beautiful venue and it was packed! Food was delicious with sushi, salmon, steak, yakisoba, and adorable cupcakes. I meant to take a photo of the one with Baymax in his costume but I ate it. That figure of Baymax and Hiro you see me next to (pictured below) is actually make up of Rice Krispies treats and covered with fondant – cool, right?
There were also fun activities for everyone to enjoy which included the photo station with Hiro and Baymax (it wasn’t just inflatable as it was posing and walking around too), a bag toss, a cupcake making area, several screens set up to play the new Disney Infinity 2.0, and a couple green screens to take souvenir photos with the animated stars. I was exhausted at the end of the evening but what a night to remember!

I was invited on an all-expense paid media trip as a guest of Disney and ABC in honor of the Big Hero 6 movie and mentioned sitcom series. All opinions are my own.
