Interactive Story Buddy books and toys have been available from Hallmark for a while now. It wasn’t until I met the two of the authors earlier this year (during the Moments and Milestones Tour) that I became particularly intrigued by these innovative toys. At BlogHer, I was able to preview the new offerings from the Interactive Story Buddy line and that’s when I met him – a gruff, yet sweet, big-footed, had-to-have fuzzy friend named Bigsby. The Bigsby Interactive Story Buddy joined our family just a short while ago has found a permanent home on our counter.
Interactive Story Buddies are plush toys that talk. Each toy comes with a book starring them. As you read the story, you’ll notice some phrases are highlighted in another color. When you read those phrases, you’ll Story Buddy will talk back in response to you. It’s extremely cute and will have both your child and the one one reading to/with them smiling. An audio CD is also included.
Bigsby has the sweetest story that will appeal to both girls and boys from a variety of ages. He a shy character with big feet who happens to make a really good new friend while hiding in the forest. It cracks my daughter and I up when my husband talks JUST like Bigsby! The other three books about Bigsby which are currently available (Bigsby’s Borrowed Shoes, Bigsby’s Big News and Bigsby in the Big City) are just as cute!
