- California Virtual Academies (CAVA)
- Check your local district to see if they offer independent study courses through the public school program.

- San Francisco Bay Area Homeschooling – Yahoo! Group
- Welcome Homeschoolers – Network of parents via Yahoo! group that arrange classes, field trips, and weekly park days. $12 fee per school year.

One great site to go to to find information on the current homeschooling laws in your state is http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp. This is the link to the laws. Remember, in California, you are not a homeschooler, you are a private school.
Thank you for that link – it really comes in handy for the readers across the nation. As I go through and independent charter school, I am technically connected to a public school so did not need to file as a private school. Thanks for the clarification though 🙂
