As my daughter is getting older and growing into a young woman, shopping for clothes for her is not as easy as it used to be. Before, I could just find something cute, get it in her size, and we were good. Now, she actually has to try everything on because we have no idea what size she’ll be in different brands and styles.
Despite the fact that jeans are crazy hard to shop for anyway, jeans shopping for a teen is even tougher. While I don’t want her to get “old lady” jeans, those skin-tight “hot pants” are no good either. We’ve had a headache trying to find cute but appropriate jeans. Fortunately, Lee Jeans sent us a couple of styles to try.
Jeans Shopping for Tween or Teen Girls
My daughter has long legs and a short body so finding the right size is tough. The Straight Fit Rowan Skinny Leg style from the Modern Series actually work pretty nicely on her. She gets the benefit of having the “in” style skinny leg without every curve being accentuated. Plus, the fabric is nice and stretchy for everyday use.
The regular length fit her fine and the jeans hit her on the waist just right. The darker Empire stain makes it easy to dress up or dress down. Pairing the jeans with a simple knit top and casual sneakers works perfectly. Just make sure you wash the jeans before wearing as that dye can rub off on other fabrics otherwise. The jeans were snug at first but Munchkin broke them in after only a couple wears.

Lee Jeans for Tween or Teen Girls
If you’re looking for a nice pair of jeans for a young teenager that’s stylish but modest, Lee Jeans has a great selection. There are also plenty of styles for Girls, many of which include shiny embellishments that are cute but not over the top. I’ll share her opinion on the other pair soon.
