SF Bay Area Residents Can Book “A” Rated Service Companies with ClubLocal . . .
Once upon a time, people used to use the yellow pages to find repair companies. While this was fine and dandy, some horrible and expensive jobs were experienced. It was hard to tell one listing from another unless they were coupled with extra ads. Things have improved slightly with the increased usage of online searches but, even then, it’s tough to really gauge a company’s quality of work or the reasonableness of their pricing. I recently found out about a service called ClubLocal.
ClubLocal started in Texas and has recently launched in the San Francisco Bay Area. Service professionals in the area are screened for legality, credibility, financial stability, and consistently positive reviews. They then negotiate competitive rates to bring customers the best services at the best prices. These services include plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliance repair, carpet cleaning, and more.
Since our apartment building includes most maintenance, I decided to try out the mobile auto detailing. Like most families, our car takes quite a beating at times and was in need of some TLC. The estimate was much lower than I had anticipated – $120 for a full detail on our CR-V and that included tip! I chose the 2-hour time slot which worked best for me. 2-hour windows are much more convenient than the standard four to six given by other service companies (basically wasting your whole day waiting for them to arrive).
I received the service pro’s information and got a notification when he was ‘en route’. This allowed me to track his travel in real-time and to get a better idea of when he’d arrive. It was pretty spot on. The service pro, Fernando Navarro, also called me to confirm the location of my place (it’s kind of confusing). The truck arrived and I found Fernando to be very friendly and professional. I only wish he didn’t pitch his own company while currently on contract with another. To me, that’s a slight conflict of interest.
When booking the appointment, I was asked for a brief description of any specific issues. I mentioned the glitter on the back seat from my daughter’s dress and the white chin fur from my dog (she likes looking over at us from the back). When Fernando arrived, he was well aware of this and assured me that he’d take care of it.
That he did. After about 1-2 hours, he and his colleague had made our car look beautiful. It was all so shiny and CLEAN!
Remembering my main concerns, Fernando was sure to point out how spotless the back seat was. Even all of Speckles’ fur was gone! He did mention that there were still a few stray sparkles but that’s just how it goes with glitter. I know that was a hard task to tackle!
One thing that really caught my attention was how they put the floor mats back. They actually made sure the mats were securely hooked on. Whenever we’ve had the car cleaned at normal car washes, they’d usually just throw the mats back in. Non-fastened mats means dangerous slippage while driving . . . Just a tiny detail but one we definitely took note of and appreciated!
Unfortunately, a neighbor was yelling and swearing at the service pros as they detailed our car. It was a public parking lot, they were only busy for a short, and it was the middle of the day. Grr, some neighbors can be so hard to deal with! Maybe that’s why a couple spots were overlooked, ones I didn’t notice until Fernando left.
In the back area of our car, it looked like only a quick wipe-down with Armor-All was done. When I moved the rubber cargo mat, it was obvious that no cleaning had been done underneath. That was a bit disappointmenting. So much attention had been paid to other parts of the car but none here, a place where all the dirt and fur would accumulate. Also, around the latch, it looked just as it did before the service.
I was so pleased with the rest of the job that I just let it go and figured I’d clean it up later. ClubLocal does provide client protection with their ClubLocal Satisfaction Guarantee but I thought this was too minor to make an issue of. Next time I’ll be sure to point that out though – it was icky there!
Fernando already had my ClubLocal estimate on his iPad so all I had to do was swipe my card for payment. For the purpose of this review, I was given a credit so no money was charged to my card. That was it. I had the estimate and receipt in my ClubLocal account and there were no hidden costs. We were impressed by the service pro ClubLocal contracted for us!
ClubLocal is really something most people could benefit from. Without adding to the problem, ClubLocal helps you get your repairs or services done at a reasonable cost, with a reputable company, and has your back if something goes wrong. I look forward to future services they’ll offer! Now’s the best time to sign up as they are offering the first service FREE ($100 value)! These are limited so make sure to sign up as soon as possible!

They did a great job!
My son (5) always asks for glitter. So far, I’ve been consistent with ‘no.’ 😉
Well, having a girl, glitter kind of comes with the territory. I think half of her clothes come with glitter on them 😛
I’m in dallas and would love and need car detailing
I am in the San Francisco Bay Area. I looked on the website and in my city the service offered is electrical. I have hated our ceiling fan since we moving in 20 years ago. Is would be an awesome prize since I have no idea how to install a new one.
