It’s been a while since the last time I was on a Field to Restaurant tour with McDonald’s but I’m so excited to join the fun again. This time, we are traveling south to Visalia and Maricopa to visit Sun Pacific’s California groves. We’ll be able to chat with the farmers, see how these little balls of citrusy goodness get from the tree to your kids’ Happy Meals, and learn about McDonald’s progression toward more healthy eating choices with registered dietitians. Cuties at McDonald’s – yay!

What do Cuties have to do with McDonald’s? It’s a new menu option! Now your kids can choose Go-GURT low-fat Strawberry Yogurt, Apple Slices, OR Cuties as a side in their Happy Meals or Mighty Kids Meals. With the announcement of offering milk from cows that are not treated with rbST and working to source verified sustainable beef, eating at McDonald’s is looking better and better 🙂

Our first stop is some 2-1/2 hours away in Visalia. Fortunately, we had food, WiFi, electricity, and, of course, good company. (See Lynda of Mommy Powers back there?) After a delicious dinner at Tommy’s, it was time to get some shut-eye before the next full day.
