Based on the 2015 Pixar summer film, the Disney 3.0 Edition Inside Out Play Set will be enjoyed by all ages. This Play Set comes with the Inside Out game piece, a Joy character figure, an Anger character figure, and a web code to play online. Disgust (who is hilarious), Sadness, and Fear can also be used in this Play Set but must be purchased separately. The characters are all stylized so well from how they walk and move to their little audio clips.
Disney Infinity 3.0 Inside Out Play Set Review
The basic plot takes places after the film. Riley has fallen asleep but, right before she closes her eyes, she catches one glimpse of a scary movie. That sends Imagination Land into chaos and the feelings have to sort it all out before she wakes up. All you have to do is collect balloons, solve puzzles, and complete the fun-filled levels.
Gameplay is completely different than in any other Play Set I have tried (I’ve only been playing since the 2.0 edition though). What’s different is that it is more of an item-collecting platform/puzzle game than a mission-based battle game. You’ll also notice that some levels have the characters moving side to side while others will require characters to move all around.
Inside Out Play Set w/ Two Players
Unlike other Play Sets, there is no split screen for two players. The game takes place in full-screen and shows both players playing at the same time. If one player progresses a little further than the other, the player behind will be swept up in a bubble and transported ahead. One major problem is that the scenes are sometimes zoomed out way too much and it gets hard to see what the characters are doing. Or, it could just be a sign that we need a larger television 😛
For two players, you can work to get through the levels but, at the same time, you are competing to see who can get more points. It’s a bit confusing. While I try to get all of the items, Munchkin thinks it’s hilarious to beat me to checkpoints and score higher. Stinker…
With Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0 mostly focusing on action films, it’s kind of nice to have the light-hearted Inside Out Play Set. There are outrageous characters, bright colors, and a lot of sparkling floating things. The Play Set is easy enough for younger ones to have fun but trying to beat high scores is challenging even for more experienced players.

My favorite is Sadness she is so cute when she is smiling 🙂
my favorite inside out character is sadness, she’s adorable
I would have to say Sadness is my fave.
Oh we love both Sadness and Joy!!!!
My son would like the Sadness or Anger characters the best. He has autism and doesn’t understand feelings. If I cry he gets upset and make me drink some water so I stop crying. He gets scared of feelings. I hope Inside Out will help him look at feelings as not so scary.
My favorite character would be Yoda.
Joy is my favorite! Thanks for the opportunity! Fantastic giveaway!
