The fun of Disney Infinity 3.0 just keeps getting better. Wave three of the product releases (I guess wave two referred to the last Play Set), which included Darth Maul, Ultron, Hulkbuster, Spot, and The Good Dinosaur Power Discs, came out not too long ago. We couldn’t wait to try them out as soon as they were delivered to our place.
Disney Infinity 3.0 Wave 3 Releases
Munchkin and I were glad to have Darth Maul in defeating the Twilight of the Republic Play Set and had a blast using the other characters in the Toy Box Expansion games. As for the Power Discs, there’s something about being able to have any Disney, Marvel, Pixar, or Star Wars character ride on one of four dinosaurs that is just plain funny 😛
Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars: The Force Awakens
However, I’ve hardly had time to break in these items when another Play Set was just released. Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set hit stores this past Friday. Yes, that is the same day that Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released in movie theaters. Good way to lessen spoilers, right?
“Available today with the release of the film, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set includes playable characters Finn, a soldier on a path to adventure and danger, and Rey, a true survivor who is resourceful and capable. Individual character figures Poe Dameron, the trusted pilot of the Resistance who uses his expert flying skills to travel the galaxy, and Kylo Ren, an enforcer for the First Order who terrorizes the galaxy with devious acts, are also available, as well as the Star Wars: The Force Awakens-themed Power Disc Pack. ”

I have not received this set to test out but I might have to pick one up (and the Power Discs) to keep the excitement from the movie going. Plus, the newer Play Sets continue to have improved visuals and gameplay.
The Rise of the Empire Play Set was so enjoyable that we were sad it was finished so soon (mostly because we were so engrossed that our play sessions lasted unusually long). I’m sure this one will be the best yet in terms of graphics, playability, and missions though.
