The announcement of Disney Movies Anywhere being available for download in the Google Play store was just made last week. Demonstrated it for us before we headed off to the Big Hero 6 premiere. I have to say I was seriously impressed.
The response time was quick and the layout was optimized for a better experience on mobile devices. You can connect your iOS and Android accounts so all your purchased movies are accessible. No more choosing which platform to watch and then being stuck without if using another. In addition to that, short clips, bonus extras, and trailers can be watched so you can get your Disney, Pixar, and Marvel fix whenever and wherever you are.
In Disney Movies Anywhere, consumers can explore Disney’s library of over 400 active digital titles from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel; preview upcoming offerings and enjoy hours of free new and exclusive short-form content; and discover curated content based on their individual preferences. In addition to browsing titles available for purchase, consumers can redeem Digital Copy codes found in Disney, Pixar, and Marvel Blu-rays and DVDs directly in Disney Movies Anywhere, as well as earn Disney Movie Rewards points for digital purchases.

What a great update! My kids toggle between multiple devices & this would save them a lot of heartache. Can’t wait to check it out!
I can definitely see this coming in handy for road trips and extra long appointments. It would put my mind at ease knowing my children are watching something Disney related.
That’s a nice perk now. I noticed prior that Disney leaned very heavily to the iTunes market, nice to see that they’re including Android users in their fold now 😉
