My family and I really enjoy traveling. There’s nothing like exploring new places, trying new foods, and snapping a gazillion photos and video to document our newly created memories. Traveling is a wonderful experience… but it’s the getting there and back part that can be troublesome. For longer road trips or airplane flights, we make sure to download Netflix shows for offline viewing. Time passes so much faster when you have movies or tv shows to watch. Plus, Netflix has a huge selection of movies and television shows to choose from.
Best Practices to Download Netflix Shows
We did this for our flight to Hawaii in June and for our trip through New Mexico and Colorado in October. It was so nice to catch up on the titles each of us had been wanting to see (but not necessarily with each other). I binged on ID-0 and Tiger & Bunny, saving Jem and the Holograms for next time. Munchkin caught up on Project Mc2, skimmed some Barbie movies (I admit I watched some with her too), and finally saw the live-action Beauty & the Beast.
Oh, but when you do download Netflix movies and tv shows, make sure to do this when you have a good WiFi connection and after you’ve cleared space on your device. I wrote a “how to” post on this a few months ago so check that out for step-by-step instructions if you need help.
Not sure which shows you should download? The Netflix Family Facebook page has a ton of suggestions for families with kids of all ages. Otherwise, try these releases from 2017.
- Anne with an E
- Trolls
- A Series of Unfortunate Events
- Voltron Legendary Defender
- Born in China
- Free Rein
What flicks will you download for your upcoming travels?
I received a year subscription of Netflix and a device to stream the content as part of the Netflix Stream Team. All opinions are my own.
