A couple of weeks ago I got a few minutes of fame, kind of. The first was on the local news, reporting of the teaming of SF Giants and the ESRB, while the second was a live stream during the Maker Faire preview for educators. How would you react if you saw yourself (or part of yourself) online or on tv?

That is so neat! I have only had part of me on TV once, that was in high school when I did job shadow day and shadowed a news reporter for local TV station. My arm was in their Halloween coverage that evening and I was so excited over just having my ARM on tv! lol
Whew, good to know I’m not the only one that gets excited over that 😛
That must have been your five minutes of fame! Ha! Thanks for sharing.
More like two 😛
That is so cool!!! I always wanted to be on TV!
I know it wasn’t much but it was something I had to share 😛
Very cool! My kids have been featured in the paper a few times. Nothing to do with my blog just great timing at fun local events.
Really? I think that’s MUCH more interesting! That’s something they can remember as they get older 🙂
Haha congrats on your 2 seconds of fame 🙂
Thank you – I’m quite proud as you can tell 😛
I did a TV spot this past Christmas and hated it. I was so nervous and realized that I wasn’t made for TV.
Wow, really? Nah, I’m sure you were fantastic! I would be so nervous to be directly in front of the camera like that.
even though I’m a huge A’s fan, I’ll still agree that that is pretty cool!
Haha, well I’ll glad position myself similarly if the A’s call me to a press interview 😛
Those are very cool!
Thanks – it was a surprise to see that. I’m glad I got the news one on my phone!
How cool!
I thought so too. It doesn’t take much to make my day 😛
That is exciting! I always love it when the kids are in our small town paper for school events!
Wow, that’s so neat! Mine will ALWAY shy away from any possibility of being in the limelight.
Fun! We were filmed once at a science museum, the kids loved it
I would have love to see that! Did it get posted on the museum’s site?
So fun! I bet if you contact your local TV or radio stations, you could get on with your blog to talk about mom or family related products. I’ve been on several stations and they are always looking to do features involving moms, just try contacting them.
I never thought about that. I always assumed I’ve have to pay to get on. That’s definitely a great idea. I’m sure it’s probably nerve-wracking but is just like anything in which you need practice. Thank you for the suggestion. If I do ever get featured I’ll have to let you know 🙂
I would think it was cool! Congrats! 🙂
Thank you! I’m always pretty self-conscious when I see cameras so I’m just happy it wasn’t of me picking my nose or something 😛
Looks like so much fun!
We had a great time at both events. Very different in nature but still made fab memories at each.
That is so neat! I’m one of those people that would shy away from the cameras- I’d hate to see myself on TV. LOL
Me too. I knew there were cameras set up at the conference but had no idea which companies they were filming for. As for the Maker Faire, the space was so small that the camera guys was going around everyone and it was actually tough to avoid 😛
Can I have your autograph? 😉
Sure, I have a pretty ugly one though 😛
Yer bootie be all famous and stuff!
I know, I should get some insurance on it like J Lo 😛
That looks like fun…you got your 15 minutes of fame!
Funny how such little things make us so excited, eh?
That looks pretty cool.
Thanks – I got a kick out of it if you couldn’t tell 😛
YAY! I need your autograph now! You go girl
Haha, what I really needed to do was wear some of my logos to ‘pimp’ it out 😛
Pretty cool! And yeah, it’s always “odd” to see yourself lol
I guess it’s like hearing yourself – always strange from what you’re used to.
You are a star!!
Yes, a very itty-bitty, tiny, minuscule one 😛
How fun! congratulations. I never like to see myself on tv but maybe that’s just me.
I saw someone above suggested you contact the local tv stations… I think you would be great on 7Live. Have you ever watched?
7Live? That’s like big-time! I think I’d definitely have to build up some nerve for that. I was once partially interviewed for a company’s online ad spot but almost all of it got cut out except for one ugly face 😛 You, my dear would fare much better than me!
How fun! I love that you saved screen shots! I was in the back of a YouTube video once, and I saved screen shots and put them in a photobook 🙂
Now that is cool! What was it for? For the tv one, my husband told me they were going to talk about it so I decided to hold up my iPhone to record it – that made it easy to pull and image.
Fun! Happy Thursday!
Thank you – likewise!
Wow lots of fun! Right now the limit seems to be Girl Scout activities featured in the newspaper! 🙂
That’s cool all in itself. Did you jump in any of the photos? 😛
Yay!! Love it ~ very cool! 🙂
Thanks!
That is very neat! Sounds like fun!
It was a cool moment 🙂
That’s so cool!
Kas
Thanks – it’s just a little thing but still special all the same.
