Earlier, I told you about the Fellowes 73Ci shredder that we received. After using it for a while, we’ve found that it has handled every job thrown at it beautifully. We’ve heard so many reports of people having their credit card and other information stolen recently. Frans and I definitely don’t want our family to be next so the 73Ci has already seen quite a bit of action in our home.
Fellowes Powershred 73Ci Shredder Review
Staples, plastic cards, discs, etc. aren’t even a concern. Just pop it in and it’s shredded to bits. While the shredder is not mind-blowingly loud, it’s also not so quite that you can use it when the kids are sleeping. That’s fine, though, as each job goes extremely fast and you can load up to 12 sheets at a time.
The shredder is a bit larger so it stands next to our desk instead of under it. That means no more cramped legs! Plus, the slick design actually adds a sense of professionalism to any space.
The touch controls are sensitive and simple. I love that, aside from the shredding mechanism itself, there aren’t many other moving parts. That means less chances of something breaking. The automatic sensors are fantastic for those have have small children or pets.
The shredder drawer slides in and out easily and keeps all paper dust inside. We like to pop in a plastic liner to make clean-up quick and painless. But, the bin capacity is pretty large so we don’t need to empty it that often.
The 73Ci may be a bit much if you only shred papers once in a while but for any busy family or for those that work at home, this is a great investment. We use the shredder daily and sometimes several times a day. This is especially true as we’ve been filling out form after form in applying for the new healthcare next year. For us, the Fellowes Powershred 73Ci shredder is a perfect home office solution.
