Is it Log Cabin Cafe or Caffe? I think the owners are confused as there’s quite a bit of inconsistency in the branding of this place. Anyway, we were a bit apprehensive in eating here. The two restaurants we ate at the day before, that were supposed to be highly recommended, were disappointing. Fortunately we were pleasantly surprised and we should have know since it was featured on Rachael Ray…
This restaurant is clean, cozy, and charming. The staff was helpful, the decorations apropos, and the food was generous and tasty. There were several drawings made by patrons’ children under the glass which was a nice touch, except for the one that had ‘devil’ written in huge capital letters (we put a napkin over it while we ate there).
We thoroughly enjoyed our late lunches. The price was very reasonable for the portions served though $3.99 for a glass of fresh-squeezed oj was pushing it. My daughter drank her lemonade from a handled jar and our water was brought chilled in a bottle. Cute. My daughter couldn’t be more content with her chocolate chip waffle with raspberry sauce and provided crayons and paper.
With a huge selection of food and more character than you can shake a stick at, this place is definitely a keeper. Not much more needs to be said about this humble gem except that we left full and happy. We WILL be coming back the next time we are in head to Lake Tahoe and swing by Kings Beach!

That’s such a bummer that the other ones didn’t work out, but this one sounds delicious! I’m really glad it was so good, and I’d trust Rachael Ray too.
But yeah, I wouldn’t pay that OJ price unless it was spiked heavily. 😉
Haha. We were just happy to have a nice meal 🙂
