Grocery shopping. It’s one of those things we have to do regularly but most of us would rather not. In my case, I often try to hold off on going to the store for as long as possible. It’s only when my kitchen cabinets are bare and my refrigerator shelves are empty that I’ll muster up the energy to drag myself to the store. So, if there’s any way that grocery shopping can somehow be made less of a bother, I’m all for it. If it can somehow be enjoyable, then that’s even better. Well, as it turns out, Lucky Supermarkets has found a way to do just that with their new stores.
Store Tour of the New Lucky California Grocery Store in Dublin, CA
A couple months ago, a brand new Lucky California grocery store opened in Dublin, CA. This is the first new Save Mart/Lucky Supermarkets store in almost a decade so it’s a pretty big deal. Also, instead of the standard run-of-the-mill store, this location features many improvements to upgrade your grocery shopping experience. What does that even mean? Well, to find out, Frans and I drove out to Dublin to check out the new location.
(Wow, how many times did I say “fresh” in this video?! HA!)
The first thing I noticed was the snazzy new Lucky California logo. It’s a departure from the older red-lettered script logo but reflects the fun California vibe. I have to say that I love how bright and open the place feels with tons of natural light coming in from the numerous storefront windows and skylights. Oh, and the aisles are super wide to cut down on congestion during shopping rush hours.
Lucky California Supermarket — Added Features, Products, and Services
The new store focuses on unique food culture and diversity found in the San Francisco Bay Area. That means it’s brimming with fresh products from local farms and producers throughout Northern and Central California. These items range from produce and flowers to honey and coffee.
Several convenient food services are also offered here, making the new Dublin store a treat to visit. Shoppers can order custom deli sandwiches, grab a cup of Peet’s coffee, visit the salad bar, get piping hot yummies, pick up Grab & Go items, or sip on a freshly-squeezed juice concoction.
Overall, Frans and I were very impressed with the new store. It has everything you’d expect from a Lucky supermarket but then so much more. The fresh, locally-grown produce is already a huge pull to visit this location. But, the extra food services and local products complete the package. The space is bright, clean, and houses a wide variety of products. The new Lucky California is located at 2840 Dublin Boulevard in Dublin, CA in the Fallon Gateway shopping center.
