What is the one thing we, as mothers, would love to get rid of now that we have kids? That flubby baby bulge that just refuses to go away. Most of us are not like those celebrities that flaunt a flat stomach and sculpted abs after giving birth (or before for that matter). Either way, that bit of stretched skin now has a completely different texture than the rest of our body and is definitely proof of being a ‘mom’. My daughter says that it is a ‘gift’ that children give to their mothers. That being said, I still don’t like it.
Mama Mio has been gracing many fashion magazines as ‘the’ item to use to get that midsection toned and tightened. What makes Mama Mio products special is that they use the same ingredients and formulas spas use for facials. Does it really work? Well, it’s not a miracle creme and does not advertise itself to be one. The labels even reads, “Anything that promises instant results will not work” and “Fat busting does not happen overnight; you need to use daily for 30 days – no cheating!”
I have been trying the mid-section regimen, Bootcamp for Tummies. It included a full-size bottle of Skin Tight, Get Waisted, and an ab exercise booklet. I have to make sure I apply the products when my daughter and husband aren’t looking because they tease me and copy me rubbing my stomach in small clockwise motions. Yes, it does look pretty silly but is surprisingly relaxing.
After my shower, I’ll apply two pumps of Skin Tight and another application can be done in the evening. This clear liquid is a bit fluid so I have to be careful not to drip when I first put it on. For twenty seconds, I need to rub it in so it gets into the skin. Skin Tight is formulated to firm the texture of ‘crepey’ skin. You can also use this on other parts of your body, even your face.
Once that is absorbed I can move on to the next bottle. Get Waisted is a bit more solid and is similar to a lotion consistency. Again, one to two pumps are enough. This is the creme that is supposed to ‘bust’ fat cells. Hmm, I think I have a bit more than those models in the tests. I haven’t noticed any shrinking in this area but it could well be the fact that my exercise class ended and I’ve been slacking.
The exercises can be done while sitting and are quick and easy. I have found it hard to remind myself to do them regularly though. Plus, it is difficult to know if you are doing them correctly and not just popping your tummy in and out.
After about 20 days of use my skin is seeing improvement. While I can point to any differences in my before and after photos, I can feel that my skin is tighter and doesn’t have that soft, saggy appearance anymore. If I continue to use this regimen and regularly do the exercises, I think it will make a ‘reasonable’ difference. Mama Mio products will not take you from a 14 to a size 4 in a month but they can help your skin to get the much needed care it deserves.
