I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Marriott Rewards®. I received Marriott Points to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
This is year is off to a great start! First of all, I’m happy to announce that I’ve been selected chosen to be a Marriott Rewards® Ambassador. As such, I’ll be sharing two more posts with you about Marriott Rewards over the next six months.
Second of all, Marriott Rewards is now 30 years old. Members (and not-yet members) are invited to celebrate all year long with a Year of Surprises.
Does someone in your life deserve to be celebrated this year? Marriott Rewards is looking for the most memorable ideas you can come up with, so go to yearofsurprises.com and nominate your loved one today for a surprise party.
For our 10th anniversary, my family threw us a surprise party. Usually, Frans and I would just enjoy a date night and eat out somewhere. So, having the family all together to celebrate with us was really a treat. We have so many family members and friends with special events coming up (marriages, milestone anniversaries, babies, graduations, etc.). It would be so amazing if we could win one of these parties for them.
The first nomination period ends February 28, 2014 and three (3) winners will be chosen. Two more nomination periods will follow. For the Year of Surprises official rules, go to yearofsurprises.com/rules.

My sister and brother in law are Marriott Rewards members and I am always impressed at the photos they’ve shared from their vacation and business stays. I look forward to reading your thoughts!
We are Marriott rewards members and have a Marriott rewards credit cards. My husband travels a lot and when he does, he stays at Marriott. We earn lots of rewards including free night stays. So nice!
When I traveled I was a Rewards Member and paid for five spring break vacations with my points. 🙂
We are Starwood members and it works much the same, it’s so helpful to be members at hotels when you’re traveling!
My mom’s an reward member and she’s always traveling around the world, and I love the photos of the places she stayed.
I’m not a member, but plan on signing up! We hope to be able to travel more now that our son is older.
How cool, congrats! I thought Marriott was older than that, but 30 years is a long time to maintain such a great reputation.
It has been a long time since I’ve stayed in a Marriott. There are at least three times a year that we are in need of hotel accommodations so I’ll be looking into Marriott next time we travel.
This is so neat! I need to stay at a Marriott location soon!
Looks like a great contest. I love Marriott.
That reminds me – I ~need~ to use my points. 🙂
I didn’t realize Marriott Rewards has been around for 30 years. All those rewards add up.
Congrats on being selected as an Ambassador I was one last year and their hotels are great.
Congratulations, Terri — that’s EXCITING news!
I am thrilled to be a part of this program as well. Can’t wait to check out one of their hotels in my area later this year.
I must go enter, we’re celebrating our 20th anniversary this spring and my parents are celebrating their 50th anniversary at the end of August – it would be awesome to throw a bash for both of us mid-between!
We always enjoy staying at the Marriott
I’m a Marriott Rewards member. Woot! Congrats on the ambassadorship!
