Today is Munchkin’s first day back to (home) school. She already had her first few live sessions with new teachers and the school year is starting in full force. All school and no play will make her a dull girl, though. 😛 I’m sure she’ll need some downtime to relax, read, and play video games. On that note, there are some sweet back to school deals from Nintendo that I thought you might appreciate.
Nintendo Back to School Deals — 3DS
Happening now, you can score a new Nintendo 3DS for only $149.99. This system includes Super Mario 3D Land pre-installed and two Mario-themed face plates.
Nintendo Back to School Deals — Nintendo Selects
Also, several new titles have been added to the Nintendo Selects line for 3DS and Wii U. These popular games will now cost only $19.99 each.
Nintendo 3DS titles:
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf — Munchkin loves this one. I have no idea what she does on it but she can play it for hours on end. I do know that the game changing based on real-time seasons and events so the gameplay stays fresh.
- LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins
- Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon
- nintendogs + cats: Golden Retriever & New Friends
- Tomodachi Life — This is another of my daughter’s favorites. Since the silly antics involve characters she created (which are all based on her family members and friends), it cracks her up non-stop.
Wii U titles:
Nintendo Back to School Deals — 3DS XL
Starting today, a new design of the New Nintendo 3DS XL will start rolling out to retailers. This is not a “deal” since the price is still $199.99. But, it’s still something new and shiny. 😀 Look out for the New Nintendo 3DS XL system: New Galaxy Blue coming soon.
Nintendo Back to School Deals — Wii U amiibo Bundles
Then, on September 9th, new Wii U amiibo bundles will be launching. The suggested retail price for each of these bundles is $39.99. (That’s a good $20-$30 less than the current price without the amiibo figure!)
- Yoshi’s Woolly World + Pink Yarn Yoshi amiibo — We looked for a bundle everywhere but it was out of stock. We ended up buying just the game only and missed out on the amiibo-enabled features. Still, we absolutely LOVE this game!!!
- Yoshi’s Woolly World + Blue Yarn Yoshi amiibo
- Mario Party 10 + Peach Super Mario amiibo
- Mario Party 10 + Bowser Super Mario amiibo
- Captain Toad Treasure Tracker + Toad amiibo
Though you want your kids to keep focused on their studies, they need time to play too. Plus, getting some new video games will benefit the whole family. The children will enjoy the mental break and you’ll get to enjoy some personal quiet time. Win-win, right?! I’ll keep bringing you more Nintendo goodness when possible!
