I have had no major diaper mishaps but I did go several weeks putting the diaper on backward before I was corrected.
A diaper mishap? A major disaster is more like it! Without getting too graphic, let’s just say my kid had diarrhea and we were using a generic brand of diapers. Some things are better left to the imagination!

Yes, a number of times before I started using better quality diapers. The one that I remember the most is when my sister in law was holding my son and he went all over her. I felt so bad and embarrassed.

yes- putting a diaper on wrong in the dark so i don’t wake the little monster so he doesn’t think it is wake up time and the diaper caught nothing on the wrong side and you know the rest was every where in the crib.
I’ve had plenty of diaper mishaps where they overflowed and made a huge mess.
When I had my daughter I was on antibiotics and she was breastfeeding. Let’s just say it didn’t agree with her and there were many blowouts.
I had a major blowout once at the beach. Not fun!
I’ve put on the diaper the wrong way before…whoops.
My son had his fair share of diaper mishaps as a baby. One of the most embarrassing ones was when my mom and I were shopping at JCPenney and I happened to look down and see remnants of poop on my blouse. When I went to the bathroom to cleanup, I realized my son had one of the biggest blowouts. To make matters worse, I had forgotten the diaper bag in the car. So I had to trek all of the way out of the store to change his diaper. Those were the days, haha! Luckily, my daughter hasn’t really experienced anything like that…..yet. 😉
We have had a few mishaps but they have honestly been caused by my son removing the diaper in the night.
We had a diaper mishap the other day during my grandson’s nap time. He did a #2 in his diaper, took his pants off, and his diaper, and got it on his hands. Then he played with some toys in his room, read some books, etc, so everything had to be cleaned!
My son had a diaper explosion in the doctor’s office one time. It was all over him!
Actually we’ve been really fortunate – no diaper mishaps here!

My son was not feeling well one day so we were lay in my bed. He had a major blow out. The worst of it was that it was all over my sheets and down comforter.
Our mishaps were when the diapers would come off in the car seat or crib, resulting in a mess.
I had many mishaps but one was when the diaper was not strong enough, it was generic, and everything all came squirting out on a relative….embarrassing
I took off my son’s diaper in the bathroom to change it and he just went on my face,,,,if you know what I mean!
I’m a grandma now with lots of stories, but my favorite is the first diaper I changed as a brand new mom. I had my cute little baby boy on the cute changing table with a cute diaper bag. I was ready with wipes and diaper cream. I took off his diaper and readied it for the matching cute diaper pail..when he started…spraying everywhere..I panicked! You can bet that I learned to be really quick with the diapers after that.
My mother brought up today that she remembers my son leaking all over her at a Christmas Eve performance, I honestly don’t remember this one, but apparently it left a memory for my mother. 🙂

I flew to Phoenix with my sister, her toddler and newborn. We didn’t sit together, and we thought the baby would be easier to care for (figured he would sleep the whole time), so I took him. He didn’t sleep – he was too busy pooping. It was everywhere – on me, the floor, the bathroom, maybe even the guy next to me. It was 29 years ago and I still remember the smell!
Not in the 3 months he has been here yet.
I don’t have any diaper mishap stories.
We once had to buy all new clothes for the baby while shopping as he messed through everything.
Luckily I have not experienced a blowout in public. Leaks here and there occasionally happened.

No I never have.
Right after my daughter was born, my husband decided to change a diaper and he put it on backwards and the nurses laughed. It was funny and they showed him how to put it on the right way and we we brought our daughter home, he did the same thing again, he said he could never tell which way the diaper went. He finally got the hang of it after a while.
We’ve dubbed my newborn daughter “the pee-pee ninja” because she’ll pee when you least expect it- when you’re removing the dirty diaper and before you put the clean one on.
My daughter had a nasty blowout while in luvs diapers and I switched to pampers, never happed again!
I put my best friend’s baby’s diaper on backwards before but nothing major!
Only diaper leaks and hubby not ble to figure them out,
I was babysitting my friend’s son when he was very young, and I we ran out of wipes and he had really pooped. Thankfully, my dad was able to run out and get some more ore we would have been in trouble. we were trying to do what we can to clean him up! Poor guy.

mishaps, lots of them, but the one that sticks out would be more like shananagins!!!…one of my twin girls have figured out how to get in and out of the crib ;one morning we heard lots of giggles and then lots of screaming ;we found them in one crib with their fully loaded diapers off and everything, including them PAINTED with it !@#*!! clean-up required gloves, mask and lots of water for all
I smelled doodoo and I turned around and saw my childs hands covered in doodoo.. its a once a week thing .. he always does it and I have to take him a shower right away and cant seem to make him stop putting his hands in his diaper when he takes a doodoo 🙁
I was carrying my son and some surprises came out the side of the diaper all over my arm and my feet.It was disgusting!!!I never used cheap diapers again.

My kids are teens now but I’m sure we had plenty of mishaps. Mostly I remember waking up to find their crib sheet soaked if they had an overnight leak.

Oh yeah. I just got the bedroom carpet cleaned, walking in to see how it looked, and water was pouring out of walk-in shower,,septic water.. in the adjoining bathroom..I had to make a dam to keep it from getting to newly cleaned carpet…..a disposable diaper was inadvertently flushed, by my mother, blocking pipes, water backed up..and it took the plumber 3 hours to fix. OH yeah, I got this one.
Only problems I ever had was trying to get them on while they were moving around!

Yes, when my daughter was an infant. In the car seat, all the way up her back. We had to take the car seat out and hose it off!

Yes! The girl I watch had a huge diaper blowout that I didn’t notice and when I picked her up I totally ruined my own zip and shirt I was wearing. Needless to say the older siblings thought it was hilarious, but at that moment I couldn’t find the humor! Thanks!

Absolutely! Leaving too much of a leg gap with little boys and getting peed on.
We had a big diaper mishap at our local fair. LOTs and LOTS of wipes and paper towel and its was a nightmare. She was in a back pack carrier when is happened. I don’t think ill ever forget it.
With my youngest, we were traveling to a funeral where we were to meet up with family members…At a layover my son literally blew out the back of his diaper & the only clothes we had were in the baggage items, which we didn’t have…Poor baby, I had to put his sweater on like pants to keep his legs warm.lol
I still remember the morning that I woke up to my 18 month old naked on the crib. It seems he woke up and made a poop and decided he did not want to be dirty, however he played with the poop as if it was finger paint. It took me hours to get everything cleaned and sanitized.
When you don’t get the new diaper on quick enough and they mess all over everything.
We had a couple mishaps where my son had diarrhea and it leaked up his back and everything. Once was on a 6 hour drive to my younger sisters graduation. Luckily it happened happened when we stopped to eat and wasn’t in the car.
The worst diaper mishap happened at a restaurant, moral always bring extra clean clothes!

my mishaps was i swithed to luves diapers and my son broke out and was allergic to it i never knew u could be allergic to diapers i myself was the baby of thefamily and well i learned everything with the help of family thank god but another mishap was when i was potty training my son at 2 he took off the daiper and brought it to me and said stinky

yes! jumperoo poo. My son used cloth diapers and he would always poop in his jumperoo and it would be a mess, up his back and down both legs. I didn’t even know he pooped and he was jumping in it and when I picked him up, it was all over me.

It’s been several years and years since I was diapering my kids….now I have a great granddaughter who I pass back to mom or dad for the duties!!!! LOL
Picture this, family photo a very long wait time, 5 kids very tired of waiting, hungary and sleepy. We get all kids sit and ready then- BIG WET SPOT WHERE DIAPER LEAKED.
When I was 17 I attended a family function right before my school’s cabaret. I tried very hard all night not to get the shirt I was wearing dirty since I was to participate in the cabaret. Right before I left I held my 4 month old cousin so my aunt could get herself some food. I quickly noticed that wonderful warm sensation from his behind on my sleeve. He was relieved but I was panicked. I did my best to remove the stain from my shirt with no luck. Wearing one of my grandmother’s shirts at my high school cabaret I vowed it was only the most trustworthy diapers for my baby’s bottom.

We were flying to Maine with our 4mo. old daughter, As soon as the plane took off, she did a big watery poop, it was running out of the diaper. I had to wait until the plane was fully in the air to change her in the tiny bathroom on the plane. She had to be washed. It was a nightmare.

My most memorable diaper mishap occurred during a fairly long car ride. There was an explosion that propelled itself above the diaper onto his clothes and even wound up on the car seat before we had an opportunity to stop the car conveniently. Definitely not an experience I would like to replicate.

Yes! Oh my gosh. My grandson pooped and it didn’t stay in the diaper- it went right up his back! It turned into bath time immediately! lol

We left the diaper genie too close to the little one’s crib and the smart-pants woke up and, very quietly, was able to get the dirty diaper out of the genie and proceeded to “paint” with it
My granddaughter stays with her nana and pepaw a lot. We have had several mishaps in our bed take all the covers off and start washing the bed covers again for the hundredth time.

With my first son three days after i brought him home i was changing a wet diaper and he decided at that moment to poop it was all over my hands i was crying from exhaustion and hubby had to help me.
Mostly every time that i changed my baby when she was a newborn she would poop all over me. Things are better now 🙂

I have no unique diaper mishap stories. But I’m told my husband had a few when I had to go on a business trip, and he had to take care of our son by himself.
My mishap story is just the usual night time accident during the potty training phase.
it’s not MY mishap story but, a few weeks ago my dad took my son on a trip to visit his mom and sister, and it was his first time ever having him for more than a day at a time alone. On the way back, he stopped to change my son and accidentally grabbed a swim diaper, threw it on him, and put him back in the car for a few more hours. let’s just say he learned the difference between swim and regular diapers lol
I’ve had 3 kids so have quite a few of these stories. The most recent one was when I forgot to bring ANY diapers to church and my 10 month old had 2 very messy diapers. I had to borrow a too-small diaper from my sister-in-law for the first one, but the second time it happened, I was too embarrassed to ask for another one. Thankfully church was almost over so when we finished, I lined the carseat with a blanket and rushed home before it could leak all over.

One time we were staying the night with some friends and my daughters diaper exploded. There were crystals everywhere and the smell was awful. I never changed her while she slept.

I remember when my daughter was between 2 and 3 and had just learned how to unfasten her diaper. She pooped while in her crib and proceeded to grab at her toys and blankets. Worst clean-up ever.

My grandson use to be famous for removing his diaper on his own after he knew he went and instead of staying anything, it would get yanked off. Always a mess

No diaper could contain my breastfed daughter’s poop. Every bowel movement meant a leaky diaper!
Just the everyday mishaps, leaky diapers or my boys peeing when I am trying to change them.
I have MANY diaper mishap stories. When our daughter was first born we had a lot of accidents, my husband got it worse, whenever it was time to change her, she always ended up going in the middle, one time she pooped all over.
I remember the first time we went on vacation after my son was born…he was probably around a year old at the time. We had gathered all of our luggage, and were headed to our room when the “contents” of his diaper actually started to fall out onto the floor of the hotel hallway.

The only diaper mishaps I had were leaking around the legs if I used cheap diapers.
Yeah took the diaper and then he decide to go front and rear. Oh what an experience wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
My son was playing in the children’s area of the mall when his generic diaper decided to not hold the “full load” and out came a piece of poop onto the floor! so embarrassing and disgusting.
My daughter has had a few diaper explosions that were really bad due to a leaky diaper.
In the library and it was an historic disaster. A reading group for toddlers and parents. My daughter did a big number 2 and came out the diaper and down the leg and into the sandals.
She didn’t want to leave because the story teller was so good with a costume, but we left.

The worst one was with my son. I was trying to balance him, his diaper and diaper bag on a plane a the restrooms were occupied. I was doing good until the diaper lost its balance and landed in the plane’s aisle. I was so embarrassed!
Visiting friends and the little one was sitting on the kitchen floor, tapping a wooden spoon on the floor. And then he started saying “Ick” after every tap…he was tapping the spoon in the #2 that had leaked out of his diaper and then sniffing the spoon. OMG!

Oh So so so many. I had a trip to the ER from my son sticking pieces of an Easy up up his nose. I also ended up with poop in my hair when my cousin was visiting.
My daughter walked right out of a baggy diaper more than once.
i was 19 when i had my first son,i had been around a lot of little baby girls.but i had no clue you was suppose to point his pee-pee downward.well he was going through outfits like every 30 minutes peeing on his self.i was oging nuts then my mother in law told what to do.then once he peed all over me! was pretty funny sight.

I used bargain brand diapers once & they were not form fitting and I was wearing a brand new dress light in color when the diaper decided to give way during a diarrhea disaster! never used bargain brand again! Pampers all he way!
While changing my son in between him having a diaper on he decided to go #2 which I had to catch in my hand.
Just the occasional opening diaper to change and they start going when you take the diaper off to replace with the new diaper.

When i was six months pregnat with my first I was babysitting my neice and she was teething and she had gone through her diaper all over me and it was green and runny all over me and im trying not to throw up and this was in the eightys i think diapers are made better now
Many years ago my son had a major blowout in a restaurant. What a mess and what a stink! YUCK
The only diaper mishap story I have is forgetting the diaper bag at home and having to run out to the store really quick while visiting friends. Inconvenient! But, could be worse…

i think as moms we conveniently forget about things like diaper mishaps so we can have other kids, lol

i haven’t had any mishaps out of the ordinary. just leaks and messes when we tried to be cheap and buy off brand diapers. that’s why we stick with pampers.
back before improvements to diapers..wow did my daughter explode out all sides! was a constant battle..until solid foods.
We’re only a few weeks in with our first, but those times when you have to change, rechange, and re-rechange within a few minutes are something special alright.

Oh my gosh I’ll never forget we were on a road trip and had gotten out to go eat, was sitting in the booth and all of a sudden I was getting wet, The diaper had ridden up or gotten crooked and leaked everywhere!
As I was changing the diaper, he peed while bare, right onto my purse next to him.

Yes, my daughter got her dad’s uniform right before he was to board his plane.

once my cousin got diarrhea while sitting on my lap so much that poop was literally streaming out the back and sides. I had to change! It was so gross!
my biggest problems with the store brand diapers I bought was the tapes unsticking I always ended up having to use duct tape

Luckily nothing more than leaky diapers.
My daughter had several leaks and they always seemed to be in her best baby outfits.
With three kids, we’ve had diaper explosions with each one!!! One was at Sam’s Club and required my husband to go buy an outfit right off the rack since, I had forgotten to pack an outfit in the diaper bag! he was furious with me but we also laughed about it too, I almost had to give my son a bath in the bathroom sink, it was NASTY!!!!!! The whole time I was praying that no one would walk into the bathroom ! !
I’ve definitely had more than one “blow out” experience that meant changing diapers, pants, and all! Blech!
My husband put a diaper on my nephew backwards.
My sister always has a glass of tea in her hands. She was changing my nephew’s diaper and a tird fell out into her glass of tea.
yes I had several mushaps my son work cloths diapers years ago and could not wear disposable diapers so their was several mishaps when he was young

No diaper mishaps but a few months ago, my nephew dumped powder all over everything in his room. Lol it looked like something they do on those ghost shows to keep evil spirits away.
Thanks for the giveaway…I can say from experience that changing a toddler’s diaper while traveling on commercial aircraft is not a pleasant endeavor, for any of the parties concerned.
The first time I was out with our girl I didn’t fasten the diaper well enough. Thus the diaper didn’t quite do it’s job and had an embarassing mess 🙁
My son had a very messy diaper that leaked all over my Sunday dress just as we were leaving for church for Easter service

When I worked daycare, almost got peed on by a little boy!
We were on a long hike and hubby was wearing our baby in a backpack. He’d changed her before he put her in and didn’t get the diaper on straight, so midway through she wet all the way down his back. We stopped and I changed her, but the backpack was soaked and hubby was soaked. She was carried the rest of the way and hubby was topless!
My son oozed out of his diapers many times
Nothing major except minor leaks while out in public!
We have four children. The last one had diaper blowouts all of the time, and not small ones either. It was very trying when we were out in public or on an airplane. We’ve cleared many a room of people too, I’ll tell you. lol
Peed on the whole first week. And now he’s two and we still have times where I get poop or pee on me when using the potty :/
Fortunately no, we used Pampers!

My daughter is 14 and a bedwetter and wears the size 7 pampers to bed at night.they started leaking after a while so i had to get rubber pants for her to wear over them.
