Knowledge and skills in S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) are not just for boys. The new series from Netflix, Project Mc², is out to prove that and was created specifically with tween girls in mind. As part of a secret spy organization known as NOV8 (pronounced “innovate”), four super smart girls must work together to complete a top secret mission in this light-hearted series.

I thought it was refreshing to see how unique each character was. You didn’t just have the smart one, the fashionable one, the ditzy one, or the athletic one. In the series, each of the girls is equally intelligent, fashionable, and capable in her own way.
Project Mc² is good for girls ages 6-12 and leans toward the silly side. The series is only made up of three parts and deals with just one mission. Since the girls in Project Mc² need to rely on their science and tech skills, Netflix thought it would be fun to send my daughter a few S.T.E.A.M. projects to try.
The show was a little juvenile for my daughter as she likes meatier adventure series. Still, she thought the one girl who likes dancing in heels and is a master chemist was the most fun!

I received a year subscription of Netflix and a device to stream the content as part of the Netflix Stream Team. All opinions are my own.
