Last month, my family and I joined ResorTime in Lake Tahoe, CA to promote the “Helmets Are Cool” event. This event was in partnership with the High Fives Foundation. It was designed to encourage the use of helmets while participating in sports, such as skiing or snowboarding.

After an adventurous drive through the snow, we finally arrived at Squaw Valley. At the event booth, several helmets were on display along with covers and items to decorate them with. Then it was time to get to work. A television crew was on-site to film a segment for a local channel and Munchkin and I were featured in it. Want to see?
High Fives Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting mountain action sports athletes. It does so by raising injury prevention awareness. The charity also provides resources and inspiration to those who suffer life-altering injuries.
ResorTime, part of Grand Pacific Resorts, is a rental service that allows the public to book nightly rentals at various timeshare properties. Three of these are in Lake Tahoe. We were originally booked at Tahoe Beach & Ski Club. But, due to weather conditions, our reservations were moved to Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley instead. With so many families staying at these properties, it makes sense that the company wants to give back to the community.
