School is out, the weather is gorgeous, and it’s the perfect time to get out with the kids to play outside. However, it won’t be long before boredom and summer slide set in. Mobile devices can play a major role in both entertaining your child and helping them learn through fun but educational games. Time to fire up the Samsung Kids app!
New Samsung Kids App
I told you before about Samsung Kids on the Galaxy Tab Lite 3. But, now, Samsung and Fingerprint have announced that Samsung Kids is available as a stand-alone app. That means you can enjoy the same content and screen time monitoring on your other Galaxy phones and tablets. The Samsung Kids app is available in the Google Play Store and the Galaxy Apps store.
The mobile app allows your children to watch and play in a safe online environment. There’s an enormous library of games, stories, and other content you can grant your kids access to. You’ll be happy to know that a huge variety of these align with STEM and Common Core curriculum. So, they’ll still be sharp when the next school year rolls around. Activities feature favorite brands and characters from DreamWorks Animation, The Jim Henson Company, Highlights for Children, HiT Entertainment, National Geographic, PBS KIDS, and Sesame Workshop.
We, as parents, know that too much of anything is not good though. Samsung Kids keeps track of how long your child has been playing, what types of content they are viewing, and allows you to set time limits on their usage. Also, there are no ads or in-app purchases to worry about.
Samsung Kids App in Google Play Store and Galaxy Apps Store
With the Samsung Kids app, you won’t have to deal with packing yet another device for your summer trips. Just download the app to any Galaxy devices that you were already planning to bring and let the kids go wild… well, kind of. You can get all the details about Samsung Kids app in the Google Play Store here. The monthly subscription cost is $7.99/month or $59.99/year.
I received a device to test the app on. All opinions are my own.
