If you didn’t already know, October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”. Many have battled or continue to battle this sad disease. It’s not just the cancer itself that is life changing.
Chemotherapy can cause total hair loss which can really knock down one’s self-esteem and can be a source of ridicule. Radiation is exhausting and takes a horrible toll on the body. If surgical removal is necessary, many women can lose their own feeling of femininity or have been turned away by an unsupportive mate in some cases.
You may not be able to run for the cure or make a hefty donation but you can still help. Pepperidge Farm will donate 50¢ to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for each Milano Moment posted on the Milano Facebook page this month, up to $50,000.
If you’d like to help hit that max donation, hurry and post your special moment within the next couple of weeks!
Disclosure: This post was spurred on by a campaign with One2One Network. The opinions expressed here are 100% my honest opinion.

Thank you for this post and for promoting awareness of breast cancer and promoting a search for the cure. My mom is a breast cancer survivor, so it means a lot to me when blogs like yours bring attention to this important issue.
