Keeping the 2014 Subaru Forester for only one week simply wasn’t enough. It was such an easy car to drive and I loved how all the windows provided a ton of viewing area. Leg room and head room galore meant five tall adults could ride comfortably so we never had a problem with squishing in or overcrowding.
Most people are already aware of how pet-friendly the Forester is. Speckles was mighty comfortable when we took her in for her surgery checkup, and I didn’t have to break my back lifting her into and out of the cargo space. The height was enough for her to stand but she could easily see out the windows even when sitting.
2014 Subaru Forester Tempers Functionality & Looks
In addition to the generous spacial offerings, the leather finish was just so clean and downright pretty! That was not what I expected from a ‘rugged off-road’ vehicle.
I did have to get used to the extremely sensitive gas pedal. That was minor when compared to the gas mileage though. Despite several trips back and forth between the east bay and the peninsula for appointments and visiting family (about 24 miles each way), the Forester averaged 23.4 MPG. With all the driving I did, only half of a tank was used.
