I have not hidden the fact that I, personally, was excited to see Toy Story 3. My whole family loved the previous two in the series and were eagerly anticipating this release. This morning my husband, daughter, and I went to see the movie in 3D at the local San Mateo Cinemark Theatre. We had 2 free tickets from buying Toy Story and Toy Story 2 DVD combo packs.
I had mixed reactions for the introductory short from Pixar, Day & Night. While it was creative and graphically beautiful but it was not special or endearing like their previous shorts (Gery’s game, For the Birds, etc).
We loved the Toy Story 3. It was a bit different but still very good. It was funny, touching, action packed, and a happy ending. What a great ending! I did not just tear up but, rather, I bawled like crazy. I had to try very hard not to make any audible noises as my eyes were dripping like waterfalls and as I endured a tightening pain in my chest. Yes, I was so moved! Even my husband and daughter had tears down their cheeks which was very uncharacteristic for them.
I don’t want to ruin the fun for anyone so I won’t drop any spoilers. The basic story is that 10 years have past since the last movie and now Andy is going to college. The toys wonder what to do now and they end up in a whole lot of mess when they hop in the box being donated to Sunnyside Daycare. They meet a whole slew of new toys and embark on an adventure worthy of the Toy Story fame. This movie had A LOT going on so we plan on seeing it again sometime soon.

We loved it, too. I was all teary-eyed at the end.
I cried, too! I really thought I was just a huge baby but I’ve heard many people say they cried, too. I did not like the Pixar short at the beginning but I really LOVED the movie!
I guess following Andy, Woody, and Buzz for all these years they’ve grown on us!
