I love living in California. There’s temperate weather almost all year round and insane amounts of natural beauty surrounds us. We can drive in any direction for 30 minutes to 3 hours and be transported from busy city life to breathtaking views of oceanside beaches, crystal clear lakes, Redwood groves, cascading waterfalls, or towering mountains. And that’s just talking about the places we frequent in the northern part of the state! With this in mind, I was thrilled to hear about the new “You Share. We Share.” campaign with SUBWAY® Restaurants.
SUBWAY® and the “You Share. We Share.” Campaign
SUBWAY® Restaurants in the US and Canada will be working with several charities to give back to local communities this summer. The charity that will benefit from this campaign in my area will be the California State Parks Foundation. See?! How could I NOT be a part of protecting the natural gem of an area I call home?!
So how does the “You Share. We Share.” campaign work and how can you help? From now until August 31, 2015, share your weekends with SUBWAY® Restaurants. SUBWAY® will then share back by donating a percentage of the sales during the weekend (up to $100,000) to California State Parks. In the San Francisco area, many of the places in which I’ve made memories with my family will benefit from this including:
- Angel Island State Park
- Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park
- McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park
- Mount Tamalpais State Park
To learn more about this charity, feel free to visit the the foundation on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
